If you’re a brownie lover like me, you will love this single serve brownie recipe. The best part about it? Done in just 30 minutes or less and it’s delicious and gooey in the middle. This recipe is perfect for when you don’t want to have to wait a whole 45 minutes for an entire pan of brownies to finish baking. This is perfect to feed yourself (and one other person if you’re willing to share the deliciousness) and get away with it like it didn’t happen! 😉 It’s super easy to make so let’s do it.

Equipment
- Ramekin or small skillet
- Other kitchen tools you have on hand
Ingredients for Single Serve Brownie
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- Dash of vanilla extract
- 1 ½ tablespoons cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons milk chocolate chips + more for on top if you want
Instructions for Single Serve Brownie
- Preheat the oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees F. While it's heating up, grease a mini skillet and set it aside.
- Mix the wet ingredients: In a bowl, stir together the melted butter and granulated sugar until they're thoroughly combined. Then, add in the egg yolk and a dash of vanilla extract, and whisk until everything is well incorporated.
- Incorporate the dry ingredients: Next, add the cocoa powder and all-purpose flour to the wet mixture. Stir until there are no flour chunks left and the batter is smooth.
- Add the chocolatey goodness: Now, it's time to take your brownie to the next level. Fold in the milk chocolate chips, ensuring they're evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Bake to perfection: Scoop the batter into the greased ramekin or skillet and pop it into the preheated oven. Let it bake for 16 to 20 minutes, or until the top is set and slightly cracked. (Pro tip: My oven's sweet spot was 18 minutes, but keep an eye on yours to avoid overcooking.)
- Serve and enjoy: Once your single serve brownie is hot out of the oven, indulge in its warm, gooey goodness. For an extra treat, top it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for the perfect balance of warm and cold, fudgy and creamy.
