In just 15 minutes, you can whip up a single-serving portion of pure cookie dough bliss. Perfect for those times when a full batch of cookies seems excessive but the craving is undeniable. And, if you love this recipe, be sure to try my edible brownie batter too — Calling all my brownie batter lovers as well!

    Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

Ingredients for Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

    • ⅓ cup + 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
    • 3 tablespoon butter, softened
    • 1 ½ tablespoon granulated sugar
    • 1 ½ tablespoon brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon milk
    • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 2 tablespoons mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions for Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

    • Begin by microwaving the all-purpose flour in a small bowl for 30 seconds. Whisk the heated flour thoroughly and set it aside. Note: The heat treatment of the flour is essential as it eliminates the risk of potential contamination from harmful bacteria, ensuring the safety of consuming raw flour.
    • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Using a fork is a great way to ensure a thorough blend of these ingredients.
    • Add the milk and vanilla extract to the sugar and butter mixture, stirring until well combined.
    • Incorporate the previously heated flour into the sugary mixture, stirring until a smooth dough forms.
    • Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips, distributing them evenly throughout the dough.
    • Now comes the best part – enjoy your delightful creation immediately!

    Is it safe to eat?

Yes, as long as you follow the recipe, it is completely safe to eat. When crafting edible cookie dough, the step of heat-treating the flour is not just an extra measure; it's a crucial one. Raw flour may carry the risk of harboring harmful bacteria, such as E. coli. By microwaving the flour for a brief period, you eliminate this potential risk, making the dough safe to consume without baking.

Now don't get me wrong, I still indulge in raw cookie dough myself, but I wanted to make it clear that this recipe requires you to preheat the flour to avoid any risks. I hope you love this edible cookie dough recipe.

Great treat. Thank you for sharing.
I just went through calories for each ingredient and it came out to 650 calories.
You can do no calorie sugar substitute for both kinds of sugar. (swerve) and substitute applesauce for the butter.
      Butter 305 cal sub w/applesauce 31 cal
Sugar 24 cal sub w/Swerve Sugar 0 cal
Brown Sugar 26 cal sub w/Swerve brown sugar 0 cal

With substitutions it has 325 calories

Hi Zoe, I don't yet track calories on my recipes. Hopefully one day I'll be able to provide that nutritional information for everyone. From doing the math and calculating it out I would say it's close to 380 roughly, but don't quote me on that. I hope you enjoy making/eating this!
