    Pepperoni & Cheesy Garlic Bites

    Equipment

    • Standard Mixer (I love my KitchenAid for this)
    • Cake pan

    Ingredients

    • Dough
      • 1 tablespoon yeast
      • 1 cup warm water
      • 1 tablespoon sugar
      • ¼ teaspoon salt
      • 2 ½ cups flour
    • Other
      • 32 slices of pepperoni
      • 8 mini Babybel original snack cheese
      • Garlic salt, to taste
      • Butter, melted
      • Marinara sauce, for dipping

    Instructions

    • Preheat and Prepare:
      • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
      • Coat a round cake pan with shortening and flour. Set aside.
    • Prepare the Dough:
      • In a bowl, combine yeast, warm water, sugar, salt, and flour.
      • Let the dough rest for 10 minutes while unwrapping the mini Babybel cheese snacks.
    • Divide and Roll:
      • After the 10-minute rest, divide the dough into 8 pieces.
      • Roll each dough ball into a round shape.
    • Assemble the Bites:
      • Make a divet in the center of each dough ball.
      • Place 2 slices of pepperoni, followed by an entire mini Babybel cheese, and then 2 more pepperoni slices.
      • Form the dough around the cheese and pepperoni, rolling until well-rounded.
    • Bake to Perfection:
      • Place each dough ball in the prepared cake pan and sprinkle with garlic salt.
      • Bake for 18 minutes, or until golden on top.
    • Finishing Touch:
      • Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter.
      • Sprinkle more garlic salt if desired.
    • Serve and Enjoy:

    Dough:

    • 1 tablespoon yeast

    • To make the dough, combine all ingredients in the “dough” section and let rest for 10 minutes while you unwrap the mini Babybel cheese snacks.
    • Once the dough has set for 10 minutes, divide into 8 different pieces.
    • Roll each dough ball until it’s round. Make a divet in the center and place 2 slices of pepperoni, then an entire mini Babybel cheese, and then 2 more pepperoni slices.
    • Form the dough around the cheese and pepperoni and roll until well rounded.
    • Place each dough ball in the prepared cake pan and sprinkle with garlic salt.
    • Bake for 18 minutes, or until golden on top.
    • Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle more garlic salt on if desired. Eat while warm so the cheese is still melted and delicious! Enjoy!
