    • Other kitchen tools you already have on hand

    Ingredients for Cajun Shrimp Pasta

    • Pasta of your choice (I use this pasta or penne)
    • Raw shrimp
    • Cajun seasoning
    • Olive oil
    • Butter
    • Heavy cream
    • Parmesan cheese

    Instructions for Cajun Shrimp Pasta

    • Cooking the Pasta:
      • Boil the pasta according to the instructions on the package until al dente.
      • Drain the pasta and set it aside.
    • Preparing the Shrimp:
      • While the pasta is cooking, combine two tablespoons of Cajun seasoning, olive oil, and the raw (defrosted) shrimp in a bowl.
      • Toss the shrimp until evenly coated with the Cajun seasoning mixture.
    • Sautéing the Shrimp:
      • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat.
      • Add the Cajun-seasoned shrimp in a single layer, cooking until golden brown on both sides. Flip the shrimp once to achieve a golden color on each side.
    • Creating the Creamy Sauce:
      • Once the shrimp is golden on each side, pour in the heavy cream, letting it bubble until it thickens.
      • Reduce the heat and add the shredded Parmesan cheese to the skillet.
      • Continuously stir until the cheese melts, and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
    • Combining Pasta and Sauce:
      • Drain the cooked pasta and add it to the creamy sauce in the skillet.
      • Stir the pasta until it is well-coated with the luscious Cajun-infused sauce.
      • Taste the pasta and add more cajun seasoning if desired.
    • Serving and Enjoying:
      • Serve the pasta hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese or fresh herbs if desired.
      • Enjoy the delightful combination of perfectly cooked pasta, succulent shrimp, and the rich, creamy Cajun-infused sauce.

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound package pasta of your choice
    • 1 pound raw shrimp
    • 2 - 4 tablespoons cajun seasoning
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons butter
    • 2 cups heavy cream
    • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese

    Instructions

    • Cook pasta according to box directions.
    • While pasta is cooking, toss together two tablespoons of cajun seasoning, the olive oil, and the raw (defrosted) shrimp.
    • Put butter in a large skillet over medium high heat until it melts. Add the coated shrimp in a single layer and cook until golden brown on both sides, while flipping once to golden each side.
    • After the shrimp is golden on each side, add the heavy cream to the skillet and let it bubble until it thickens up. Reduce the heat and add the parmesan cheese.
    • Continue stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth and creamy. Taste the sauce and add more cajun seasoning if desired. We like ours a little more flavorful and I put it more, but if spice isn't your thing, feel free to keep it as is.
    • Drain the cooked pasta and add to the sauce. Stir and serve while hot. Enjoy!
