These Pumpkin Oreo Balls are my go-to for any fall gathering, from Halloween parties to cozy nights in with family. Fall is in full swing, and nothing says Halloween like a dessert that’s both festive and delicious. With only a handful of ingredients, this recipe is simple but yields incredible results. I have been making these Oreo Balls for years, but I officially decided to level them up for Halloween by incorporating the orange candy melts to make it festive! I loved having these at our Halloween party this year!

Why You'll Love These Pumpkin Oreo Balls

    • Quick & Easy: With only 10 minutes of hands-on prep time, this recipe is one of the simplest desserts you can make.
    • Kid-Friendly: These no-bake treats are perfect for little helpers. Kids will love rolling the Oreo balls and dipping them in the candy melts.
    • Festive & Fun: Whether you’re making these for Halloween or any fall-themed occasion, the pumpkin look and rich Oreo flavor will impress everyone who tries them.

    Ingredients

    • 1 package Double Stuf Oreo cookies (keep the filling!)
    • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
    • 1 (12-ounce) package orange candy melts
    • 5 pretzel sticks, cut into small pieces (for the pumpkin stems)

    Instructions

    1. Crush the Oreos
Start by placing the entire package of Oreos, filling included, into a blender or food processor. Blend until you have fine crumbs.
    2. Mix with Cream Cheese
Using a stand or hand mixer, blend the Oreo crumbs with the softened cream cheese until the mixture is smooth and moldable. This creamy filling is what gives each bite that irresistible Oreo flavor!
    3. Shape into Balls
Using a 1-inch cookie scoop, portion out the mixture, roll it into balls, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
    4. Chill
Pop the baking sheet into the freezer for about 20 minutes. This helps firm up the Oreo balls and makes them easier to dip.
    5. Melt the Candy Coating
In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the orange candy melts in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until melted and smooth.
    6. Dip and Decorate
Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each Oreo ball into the melted candy, ensuring it's fully coated. Place each dipped ball back on the parchment-lined sheet. Before the candy sets, insert a small piece of pretzel stick on top for the “pumpkin stem.”
    7. Set & Store
Allow the candy coating to harden by chilling the Oreo balls in the freezer. Once set, transfer to the fridge or freezer for storage until you’re ready to serve.

Tips for the Best Pumpkin Oreo Balls

    • Blend the Oreos Well: To get a smooth texture, make sure the Oreos are crushed into fine crumbs before mixing with the cream cheese.
    • Work Quickly with the Candy Coating: Melted candy can start to thicken if it sits for too long, so it’s best to dip the balls right after melting.
    • Make It Festive: For a Halloween party, use black icing to add little jack-o’-lantern faces to each Oreo ball!

    Storing & Serving

Keep these Pumpkin Oreo Balls in the fridge or freezer until you’re ready to serve them. They stay fresh and delicious for up to a week in the fridge or up to a month in the freezer.

    Perfect for Fall Gatherings

These Pumpkin Oreo Balls are the perfect addition to any fall dessert table. With their festive look, rich Oreo flavor, and creamy texture, they’re sure to be a hit! Let me know if you make them, and tag me on Instagram @TheGirlWhoWasHungry—I’d love to see your creations!
