These Protein Energy Bites are exactly what you need to satisfy that sweet tooth of yours while getting protein incorporated naturally into your diet. These bites are the perfect snack right before a hike, after a workout, or on the go. I love that a single bite is over 6 grams of protein. This has been super helpful in my diet as I am trying to add more protein into it naturally.

    Protein Energy Bites

With a prep time of just 15 minutes and no cooking required, these energy bites are as convenient as they are tasty. Let’s go make these healthy bites together!

    Ingredients for Protein Energy Bites

    • 1 ½ cups old-fashioned oats
    • ½ cup creamy peanut butter
    • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
    • ½ cup honey
    • 3 tablespoons chocolate protein powder
    • ⅓ cup mini semisweet chocolate chips

    Instructions for Protein Energy Bites

    1. In a standard mixing bowl, add all the ingredients. Mix until everything is well combined and the mixture has a uniform consistency.
    2. Using a 1-inch cookie scoop, scoop out portions of the mixture and roll them between your hands to form round balls.
    3. Place the formed balls into a storage container and refrigerate. These bites will stay fresh in the fridge for up to one week.
    4. Enjoy your Protein Energy Bites straight from the fridge for a delicious and convenient snack!

    Customizable Energy Balls

This recipe yields 16 energy bites, making it easy to prep your snacks for the week in one go. The combination of old-fashioned oats, peanut butter, and chia seeds provides a great source of fiber, protein, and healthy fats, ensuring you stay full and energized. The addition of honey and mini chocolate chips adds just the right amount of sweetness, while the chocolate protein powder gives an extra protein punch.

These Protein Energy Bites are versatile, too. You can easily customize them to suit your taste preferences or dietary needs. Swap the peanut butter for almond or sunflower seed butter, use maple syrup or agave instead of honey, or add in some dried fruits or nuts for extra flavor and texture.

    Snack for on the go

Perfect for on-the-go snacking, these bites are great for busy mornings, post-exercise recovery, or as a healthier alternative to sugary treats. Keep a batch in your fridge, and you'll always have a quick, nutritious snack ready whenever you need it.

    Healthy, Protein-Packed Snack

These Protein Energy Bites are a fantastic way to fuel your body with wholesome ingredients without sacrificing taste or convenience. Now don’t get me wrong, I love my easy desserts, but these are a great alternative that gives my sweet tooth exactly what it wants. And from the wise words of my adorable husband, “they taste like cookie dough” because they are that good. So, what are you waiting for? Go make them! Happy snacking!
