Calling all peanut butter lovers! This indulgent peanut butter pie is a dream come true for those who can't get enough of the creamy goodness. With a luscious peanut butter filling with homemade whipped cream, nestled in a delectable crust, this no-bake pie is perfect for any occasion. Let's dive into the simple yet irresistible recipe!

    Peanut butter pie.

Seriously you guys, this peanut butter pie is to die for! This recipe was inspired by one of our favorite local restaurants who has the most delicious peanut butter pie. I've never been a huge pie-lover. I've never really craved pie until this recipe. For some reason this recipe does it to me - I fall for the trap of delicious pie craving! Try it out and you'll understand where I'm coming from.

    Equipment

I made this recipe with simple kitchen tools, and with a pre-bought pie crust, it makes it that much easier.

    Ingredients

    Pie Crust:
    • 1 pie crust of choice (chocolate, Oreo, graham cracker)
    Pie Filling:
    • 8 ounce cream cheese, softened to room temperature
    • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
    • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
    • ½ cup powdered sugar
    • ½ cup granulated sugar
    Whipped Cream:
    • ½ cup heavy cream
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
    • ⅛ cup powdered sugar

    Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Whipped Cream

In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar for the whipped cream. Use a hand mixer to whip the ingredients together until the mixture forms soft peaks resembling whipped cream. Once done, refrigerate the whipped cream to keep it cool while you work on the pie filling.

Step 2: Create the Peanut Butter Filling

Using a separate standard mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and granulated sugar, continuing to beat until the sugars are well incorporated into the cream cheese.

Next, add the vanilla extract and creamy peanut butter to the mixture. Allow the ingredients to blend together for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the filling becomes smooth and creamy.

Step 3: Combine Whipped Cream and Peanut Butter Filling

Retrieve the whipped cream from the refrigerator and gently fold it into the peanut butter filling. Continue folding until the mixture achieves a smooth and consistent texture.

    Step 4: Assemble the Pie

Pour the delectable peanut butter filling into the pie crust, ensuring an even distribution. Use a spatula to smooth the top, creating an inviting surface.

    Step 5: Freeze and Serve

Place the pie in the freezer for at least 2 hours to allow it to set. When ready to serve, take the pie out of the freezer and let it thaw for approximately 20 minutes. This will make it easier to slice and enhance the pie's creamy texture.

    Step 6: Enjoy!

Slice into this frozen delight and savor the creamy, peanut butter goodness. The combination of the rich filling and the contrasting textures of the crust make for an unforgettable treat. Share with friends and family, or indulge in a slice (or two) all to yourself!

    Variations & Substitutions

If you want to make this recipe faster, you can replace the homemade whipped cream with Cool Whip. I think that the homemade whipped cream adds a more natural, delicious flavor, but I understand that Cool Whip saves time (and time is everything)!

You can also make this recipe with whatever pie crust you want. If you want a graham cracker crust, go for it. My preference is an Oreo pie crust, but in these photos I used a chocolate pie crust and that was my second choice. Oreo is still number one for me, but tell me what you try and I'd love to test it out!
