    Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

    The holiday season is upon us, and what better way to celebrate than with a batch of decadent Chocolate Crinkle Cookies? Can’t you hear it already? Christmas music playing, setting up the tree, and the smell of these delicious chocolate crinkle cookies in the oven. These little bites of heaven are not only a treat for the taste buds but also a festive addition to your holiday dessert spread. Gather your ingredients and make these cookies instantly, you won’t regret it!

    Equipment

    All you need for this recipe is standard household kitchen supplies

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup all-purpose flour 
    • 1 teaspoon baking powder
    • ½ teaspoon baking soda
    • ½ teaspoon salt 
    • ½ cup cocoa powder
    • ¼ cup brown sugar
    • ½ cup granulated sugar 
    • ¼ cup vegetable oil
    • 2 eggs 
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
    • ⅓ cup powdered sugar 

    Instructions

    Dry recipe ingredients in a large bowl.

    In a medium sized bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

    In a standard mixer, combine the cocoa, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and vegetable oil. After mixing, add the eggs and vanilla extract until combined.

    Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and combine well. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours, or overnight in the fridge.

    Once the chill time is complete, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

    Place the powdered sugar in a bowl. Using a 1-inch cookie scoop, scoop out the chilled dough and roll it with your hands into balls.

    Generously roll each ball into the powdered sugar and place on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.

    These Chocolate Crinkle Cookies are perfect for the holidays that truly are a crowd-pleaser. This recipe can be modified easily for large parties, just double the recipe and you'll be set to serve a crowd!
