    Tell me I'm not the only person who makes brownies to literally eat the brownie batter?! I remember getting home from school in junior high and I would make brownies, but I would leave a huge spoonful of batter for me to eat after. I know, I know, some of you are thinking I'm crazy for eating brownie batter that had raw eggs and flour that wasn't heat-treated. Well, that's why I created this recipe - I wanted to eat brownie batter, guilt free. Plus, this edible brownie batter is BETTER. I crave this, and I know you will too!

    • Whisk
    • & other kitchen tools you already have on hand

    Ingredients for Edible Brownie Batter

    • All-purpose flour
    • Cocoa powder
    • Butter
    • Brown sugar
    • Granulated sugar
    • Milk
    • Vanilla extract

    Instructions for Edible Brownie Batter

    Prepare the Dry Ingredients: In a small bowl, pour the all-purpose flour and heat it in the microwave for 30 seconds. This quick step helps to heat treat the flour, ensuring safety. Remove from the microwave and whisk the flour. Add the cocoa powder to the bowl and whisk again. Set the mixture aside.

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the prepared flour and cocoa mixture into the bowl with the butter and sugar. Add in the milk and vanilla. Stir the ingredients together until you achieve a smooth and luscious brownie batter.

    Ingredients
      

    • ½ cup all-purpose flour
    • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
    • ¼ cup butter melted
    • ¼ cup brown sugar
    • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla

    • Pour the flour in a small bowl and warm it in the microwave for 30 seconds to heat treat it. Remove from the microwave and whisk. Add the cocoa powder and whisk again. Set aside.
    • In a medium sized bowl, melt the butter in the microwave. Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar and stir.
    • Pour the flour and cocoa mixture into the butter and sugar. Add in the milk and vanilla and stir until smooth. Enjoy!

    Notes

    Keep any excess brownie batter in the refrigerator for a maximum of one week. Alternatively, you can freeze the brownie batter for up to three months. If you choose to freeze it, make sure to let the brownie batter reach room temperature before consumption.
