This Funfetti Dip will be the star of the show at your next family gathering or party! I don’t mean to be dramatic, but it truly is that delicious. The best part? It’s quick to make, done in 15 minutes, and tastes divine. I love these kinds of desserts when you’re looking for something fast and efficient. No need to spend hours in the kitchen prepping for a family event or bridal shower. Just whip this up in no time and it’ll save you hours.

I discovered this delicious treat from my sister who made it for a family party once, and I asked her what she puts in hers and she told me the ingredients she used. So here is her delicious recipe with our own measurements. This one's for you, sis! Love you.
Ingredients for Funfetti Dip
- Funfetti cake mix (15.25 ounce - just the powder)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz cool whip, thawed
- ⅔ cup milk (less if you want it thicker)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1.75 oz sprinkles (I use Betty Crocker brand)

Instructions for Funfetti Dip
- Heat Treat the Cake Mix:
- Pour the Funfetti cake mix into a medium-sized, microwave-safe bowl.
- Heat treat the cake mix by warming it in the microwave for 90 seconds, stopping every 30 seconds to stir. This step is essential to ensure the mix is safe to eat. Once done, set the mix aside to cool slightly.
- Prepare the Creamy Base:
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with a handheld mixer until smooth. Make sure there are no lumps for a perfectly creamy texture.
- Add the Cool Whip to the cream cheese and blend until smooth and well combined.
- Combine and Mix:
- Add the milk and vanilla extract to the creamy mixture and blend until smooth. The milk helps to achieve the desired consistency, so adjust the amount according to your preference.
- Gradually pour the dry, heat-treated Funfetti cake mix into the bowl and fold it in. Mix until fully incorporated and smooth.
- Add the Sprinkles:
- Finally, add the sprinkles for that fun texture and festive look. Stir with a spoon until the sprinkles are evenly distributed throughout the dip. If the dip is thicker than you like, add more milk one tablespoon at a time until you reach the perfect consistency.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Serve the Funfetti dip with your favorite dippables. Some great options include fresh fruit, vanilla wafers, and my personal favorite—broken up waffle cones. For an extra special touch, I buy waffle cone bowls and break them into smaller pieces to use as a dipper.

Tips and Tricks for making the best Dunkaroo Dip
- Adjusting Thickness: If you prefer a thicker dip, use less milk. Start with ⅔ cup and add more as needed, one tablespoon at a time.
- Heat Treating the Cake Mix: This step is crucial for food safety. It ensures any potential bacteria in the raw flour are eliminated.
- Storage: Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. This dip can be made a day ahead of time, making it a perfect make-ahead party treat!

Dunkaroo Dip for Any Occasion
This Funfetti Dip is versatile and can be adapted for various occasions. Add some seasonal sprinkles for a holiday-themed treat or use themed sprinkles for birthdays and other celebrations. The creamy, sweet dip paired with crunchy dippables creates a delightful contrast that is sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.
If you enjoy this easy, no-bake dessert, you will want to try my brownie batter dip recipe. It's very similar, but it tastes like brownie batter instead of cake batter. You'll love both of them. In fact, I'm realizing just now that both of them would make for such a cute charcuterie board idea for a girls night in or party. One of you needs to go do this and please share in the comments!
I hope you love this delicious cake batter dip recipe!
