Tips for the Perfect Fourth of July Muddy Buddies

    • Even Coating: Ensure the cereal is evenly coated with the chocolate mixture by folding gently but thoroughly. This helps each piece get a perfect layer of chocolate and peanut butter.
    • Shaking Technique: When adding the powdered sugar, make sure the ziplock bag is sealed tightly. Shake vigorously to ensure all pieces are covered, adding more powdered sugar as needed.
    • Cooling Process: Allow the muddy buddies to cool completely on the baking sheet before adding the M&Ms. This ensures the M&Ms don’t melt and retain their vibrant colors.
    • Serving Ideas: Serve in a festive bowl or individual cups for easy snacking. You can also package them in decorative bags tied with red, white, and blue ribbons for a fun party favor.
