Equipment

  • 1 Baking sheet

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar packed
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ cup + 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon milk
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a small baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
  • Add the flour and baking soda, and stir until a dough forms. If the dough is still crumbly, add in ½ teaspoon milk and combine. If it’s still crumbly, add in another ½ teaspoon and combine.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a few to press on top.
  • Roll the dough into a ball and flatten slightly on the prepared baking sheet. Press the reserved chocolate chips on top.
  • Bake for 10-14 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is just set. Be careful not to overbake.
  • Let the cookie cool on the sheet for a few minutes before enjoying.
