Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

In a separate bowl, combine the milk, egg, and softened butter. The butter won't fully mix with the milk and egg, and that's okay.
Add the butter, milk, and egg mixture to the dry ingredients and combine until a sticky dough forms.
Use a two-inch cookie scoop or a big spoon to scoop out eight blobs of dough onto the prepared pan.
Bake for 14 to 16 minutes, until the biscuits are slightly golden brown. Keep an eye on them, as oven times may vary.
While the biscuits are baking, prepare the garlic butter topping by mixing all the ingredients together.
Once the biscuits are done, remove them from the oven and coat the tops with the garlic butter topping.
