Equipment

  • 1 round pizza pan

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water 108 degrees F
  • 1 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 ½ teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 2 ½ to 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour divided in half
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. In a small bowl, mix together the warm water, yeast and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until it foams.
  • In your standard mixer, add two cups of flour, oil, and the yeast mixture. Mix with the hook attachment.
  • Add the garlic salt, Italian seasoning, and onion powder and mix.
  • Add the remaining flour ½ cup at a time, and stop when the dough stops sticking to the side of the mixer.
  • Transfer the dough to a large greased bowl and let it rise for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the dough from the bowl once done rising, and place it on a floured surface. Knead dough to remove stickiness.
  • Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough thin onto a well-floured surface. Place on a greased pizza pan and decorate your pizza to your desire (sauce, pepperoni, cheese, etc.).
  • Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until the dough starts to become golden brown on the edges. Enjoy!
