For the Cake:
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- Dash of vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- ⅛ teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tablespoon boiling water
For the Ganache:
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup milk chocolate chips
For the Cake:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Spray 2 6-ounce ramekins with cooking spray and set them on a baking sheet.
In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, cocoa powder, egg yolk, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla. Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and combine. Lastly, pour in the boiling water and stir.
Divide evenly between the two ramekins and bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
For the Ganache:
Heat the heavy cream in the microwave until it’s very hot (about 1 minute).
Add the milk chocolate chips to the hot heavy cream and stir until smooth and a runny ganache starts to form. Pour on top of the warm cake and enjoy!
